Several versions of the Fleur De Lis
Fleur De Lis: The French Royalty
The Fleur De Lis can be dated back all the way to the Ancient Maya eras, but now it is most commonly associated with the French, specifically their monarchy. Designed to look like a stylized flower based on the Iris flower, this symbol represents purity and life. The Fleur De Lis can be found representing the French arms, as well as Quebec's flag. Due to the its long history, many different versions of the Fleur De Lis can be found throughout history.
