French 8 Requirements

  • Be able to recognize French letters from English letters.

  • Understand key information and supporting information.

  • Use different ideas to support your communication in French.

  • Be able to ask teachers if students don’t understand something.

  • Present information orally and also in a written manner.

  • Understand how Francophone culture is expressed and be able to retell to others. 

French 9 Requirements

  • Remember basic French grammar and some spelling learned in Grade 8.

  • Take information from texts (books, essays, etc.) and rewrite it in your own way.

​

  • Be able to share information and connect it to the Indigenous communities and culture. 

​

  • Know the importance of Francophone culture. 

​

  • Engage in activities with French culture and communities.

​

  • Be able to present/narrate in French.

French 10 Requirements

  • Be able to use words and their meanings correctly.

​

  • Explore regional differences within the Francophone language.

​

  • Further explore connections between the French and Indigenous Peoples.

​

  • Present clearly with a clear, strong voice.

​

  • Learn about the lives and importances of French people.

​

  • Find more strategies to help students like yourself understand easier.
