Incentive Composition and Literary Studies 10

  • This course is a mix between Composition English and Literary Studies, as well as Creative Writing and Spoken Language aspects of a normal course.

 

  • This course will have a strong focus on Literature, featuring authors, time-periods and different types of writing.

 

  • Learning will be featured through writing paragraphs, speaking (For example: Presentations), and work to do from home to further enhance a student’s learning.

 

  • This course also will include group work to promote communication and friendly collaboration between classmates.

 

  • Incentive Composition and Literary Studies can be a tough course for students, so in order to succeed students must pay close attention in class and take down notes if possible. Keep in mind this course is only for students in the Incentive Program.

Incentive Literary Studies 11

  • Literary Studies 11 is a course that builds student’s independence in writing, giving mostly prompts and letting the student write in their own ways and/or thinking

 

  • Students will be given formats to write in, such as narrative, expository, persuasive and several others. 

 

  • The main goal of this course is to help students learn about how to use language manipulation to their advantage, driving their writing to the maximum.

 

  • Another key point teachers will focus on is to make sure students can find creditable and trustworthy sources of information, and the quality of presentation of such resources.

 

  • This program is an advanced course of the regular courses, so students will be expected to write more than the average student in order to properly learn or exceed in this course.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, Incentive Literacy is a challenging course and pushes students to thrive for better, giving better preparation for their futures. This challenging course includes a lot of communication, teamwork, and most importantly, writing detailed paragraphs and long essays.
