Incentive Science 8/9
-
Similar to basic science courses, all sectors of science are taught in one class, including Biology.
-
This course speeds up the learning process of students, cramming the usual three years of learning into 2 years.
-
Students in the Incentive Program will learn topics like Life Processes, Cell Biology, and many different other sub-sectors of Biology, like Ecology and Zoology.
-
Class activities for students include discussions, presentations, tests, and finally a mandatory Science Fair Project.

Incentive Science 9/10

-
This Incentive course is the second part of a three year process into a two year learning class.
-
Science 9/10 Incentive expands on all the ideas learned in Science 8/9 Incentive. Students will learn in-depth in subjects like Genetics, Reproduction, Evolution and many more interesting subjects.
-
Students are required to maintain a 70% or higher in order to stay in this program. Participation and Explanations is a key skill to focus on if students want to exceed in this program/course.
-
This course teaches students through debates, detailed presentations, quizzes, and a mandatory Science Fair Project.
Life Sciences 11 Enriched
-
This course is part of an extended series that helps students learn basic biology principles and study different parts of living organisms.
-
Life Sciences Enriched will also prepare students for Anatomy & Physiology 12
-
Students will study new topics like Phylogeny (Study of evolution), behaviours and interactions of animals, and new ideas that were created by past biologists.
-
This course requires a lot of dissections of animals and plants. Students must be prepared to do these well in order to do well in Life Science 11 Enriched.

Anatomy & Physiology 12 Enriched

-
Anatomy & Physiology 12 Enriched is a course that includes all of the topics of the normal Anatomy & Physiology 12 course, as well as complicated enzyme reactions and information on the human body that helps students adapt to university easier.
-
This course requires Chemistry 11 and Life Sciences 11 because it merges Biochemistry information with natural biology.
-
It is recommended that students understand Life Sciences 11 and Chemistry 11 clearly to know new information that is presented in Anatomy & Physiology 12.
-
Advanced Placement (AP) Biology 12 can be taken at the same time as Anatomy & Physiology 12 and is actually recommended to students planning on taking AP Biology.
