Requirements And Expectations For Math:

  • Understand simple puzzles and use reason/logic to explore mathematical ideas                                          

  • Be able to estimate REASONABLY and make probable guesses                                                        

  • Demonstrate  a decent mental math ability

  • Use multiple strategies and formats to solve problems and situations                                                

  • Be able to learn mathematical terms/vocabulary to help enhance mathematical knowledge                        

  • Have the ability to explain and justify answers and ideas in your own words                                              

  • Show your work in different forms, such as drawings or writing                                                    

  • Learn to reflect on a student's mathematical thinking                                                                      

  • Incorporate mathematics into your daily life

Conclusion:

These expectations and requirements are for all of the Mathematics courses in Palmer. Although it seems like a lot, as long as students are focused, on task and try your best, mathematics will not be hard for people.
